A new CNC machining center was recently installed at our site in Greiz, Thuringia. The machine is the second step in an expansion investment totaling 1 million euros. This is associated with the creation of two new jobs.
The machine – measuring approx. 11 x 3 x 2.8 meters with a dead weight of 26 tons – is used for the mechanical processing of Precision parts. Specifically, it produces highly complex machine parts and components from raw metal blocks, which SPALECK produces as a subcontractor in contract manufacturing for third parties. It can be used to manufacture parts with a diameter of up to 750 mm and a length of 5,050 mm to an accuracy of 0.01 mm.
Sebastian Bettermann, Operations Manager at SPALECK Präzisionstechnik: “Greiz is an important location for us to be able to optimally supply customers of the SPALECK Group from Thuringia and Saxony with mechanically machined parts. We are consistently investing in the future viability and expansion of our services here at the site.”
