More InformationAs a modular component, the system can be perfectly combined with other processes such as filtration or flotation. This creates a customized process chain that reliably removes even the most complex contaminants:
Industrial wastewater comes in many forms—from metal residues to stubborn emulsions. We don’t offer off-the-shelf solutions; instead, we provide a system tailored precisely to your needs. The RedBox treats even difficult wastewater so efficiently that downstream processes operate at peak performance.
Electrocoagulation uses targeted electrical current to make dissolved contaminants in wastewater visible. The system generates special flocs (known as hydroxides) directly in the water, which act like a magnet: they firmly trap dissolved heavy metals such as nickel, copper, or chromium within their structure. These loaded flocs can then be reliably separated using a chamber filter press or sedimentation to achieve process reliability and guaranteed compliance with your regulatory limits—without the heavy use of conventional chemicals.
We put an end to unwanted phosphates and contaminants. The Morselt RedBox uses a highly efficient electrochemical process: It generates special flocs (known as iron hydroxides) directly in the wastewater, which detach from the anodes. These flocs act like a net, firmly binding dissolved phosphates and contaminants within their structure. Once prepared in this way, the contaminants can be reliably separated in a subsequent filtration process with high process reliability. The result: reliable water treatment that meets even the strictest environmental standards.
Complex active ingredients are often difficult to filter out. We break down these chemical chains electrochemically. This reduces the load on subsequent stages, such as activated carbon filtration, and makes the purification process significantly more efficient.
Whether it’s discoloration or organic suspended solids, electrocoagulation visibly clarifies the wastewater. Combined with an adsorption stage, such as an activated carbon filtration system, this lays the foundation for preparing your water for discharge.
No more expensive separation agents. Our solution separates oil-water mixtures using only electricity. The resulting gas bubbles carry the greases to the surface, where they can be easily removed in a subsequent purification step.
PFAS pose a challenge for any filter. The RedBox captures the bulk of these contaminants right from the first step. This protects your valuable filtration systems, extends their service life, and significantly reduces your operating costs.
Before your wastewater reaches the sewer system, the Morselt RedBox reduces the organic load by about 20–30%. This protects your plant equipment from overload and saves you money on discharge fees.

Wastewater is as diverse as the industries from which it originates. That is why the RedBox is not a one-size-fits-all product, but rather an adaptable component for customized comprehensive solutions. We combine our expertise in electrochemistry with industry-specific know-how to implement the most efficient and safest wastewater treatment solution for every challenge.

Metalworking often produces complex wastewater containing heavy metals and stable emulsions. The RedBox breaks down these compounds without the need for expensive separation agents. In combination with our filtration technology, we thus lay the foundation for safe indirect discharge or efficient recycling back into the production process.

Wastewater from food production poses a real challenge due to extremely high COD levels, grease, and stable emulsions. While biological treatment is the most efficient method for breaking down the main load, excessive amounts of grease and undissolved solids can quickly bring the biological process to a standstill. Here, the Morselt RedBox offers the ideal solution as a highly efficient pre-treatment unit: It breaks down stubborn emulsions electrochemically and reliably separates out greases and organic solids. This ensures that dangerous load peaks are reliably smoothed out with high process reliability. This significantly reduces the load on your downstream biological treatment system, protects it from clogging, and ensures it operates continuously at its level of efficiency.

Wastewater from the chemical industry often contains compounds that are difficult to break down and would pass through conventional filters. The RedBox uses electrochemical processes to break down these molecular structures. In combination with downstream filtration technology, we achieve a level of purity that meets even the most stringent limits.

Pigments and binders make the wastewater highly turbid and contaminated. The RedBox ensures immediate destabilization and flocculation of these substances. Combined with filtration, we clarify the water to such an extent that it can often be reused for cleaning processes within production.

Paper production requires enormous amounts of water. To conserve this valuable resource efficiently, our RedBox system solution targets the critical sub-streams of the process directly. It removes the finest suspended solids, colloidal impurities, and sticky substances in areas where conventional screens are overwhelmed. Through this targeted treatment of process water streams, we enable extremely high recirculation rates and reliably protect your paper machines from deposits, slime formation, and wear.

Was your industry not listed? No problem. The versatility of our wastewater treatment system lies in its modular design. We analyze your specific wastewater and tailor the RedBox and all other components precisely to your specific conditions—for a solution that’s as unique as your production process.

Yes, absolutely. Thanks to its compact and modular design, it is ideal for retrofitting. It often acts as a powerful preliminary stage to relieve existing filter systems or biological stages and extend their service life.
As the RedBox does not require any liquid polymers or flocculants, there are no high costs for purchasing and storing chemicals. Electrocoagulation also reduces the volume of sludge by up to 50 %, as no additional solids are added to the water using chemicals. This massively reduces disposal fees.
