SPALECK wins Recycling Technology Award 2017
5,000 euros prize money for Casa Dorca children’s home
Dortmund, May 10, 2017 – The double trade fair Recycling Technology and Bulk Solids took place for the fourth time in Dortmund from May 10-11, 2017.
6,731 trade visitors, 500 exhibitors, 1 absolute world first and 1 Recycling Technology Award – this is how the very successful summary of SPALECK GmbH & Co KG could be summarized.
ActiveCLEAN – A Revolution and a Crowd-Pleaser
With its new ActiveCLEAN vibratory feeder, SPALECK presented a true revolution in the processing of wet, sticky bulk materials—such as Slag—live in Dortmund!
As the world’s first cleaning-free, self-cleaning system, ActiveCLEAN attracted many visitors to the SPALECK stand thanks to its innovative principle of “maximum performance with zero cleaning effort”. Whereas plant operators previously had to stop their production every hour for approx. 15 minutes to manually remove hard sticking from their standard conveyor trough, for example, the ActiveCLEAN now does this itself – and during operation! This saves cleaning effort, maximizes system availability and protects the environment. The feedback from leading Slag processors after several months of use: We are switching completely to ActiveCLEAN!
Recycling Technology Award 2017 – Donation for Casa Dorca children’s home
The SPALECK trade fair team had a very special reason to celebrate at the evening event on the first day of the fair. In front of over 1,100 guests, the team led by Managing Director Andreas Ahler received the Recycling Technology Award 2017. “A very, very big thank you for this fantastic acknowledgement! We would like to donate the prize money to the children at the Casa Dorca children’s home in Romania,” said a delighted Andreas Ahler and his team.
The project gives orphans a new home. There are currently 22 children aged between 3 and 21 living in the volunteer-run facility. A lot of heart and soul goes into giving the children a better future.
Andreas Ahler: “It is very moving to see the enormous joy of the children and the tremendous commitment of the volunteers on site. When we visited the children’s home last year, it was immediately clear to us that we wanted to help with our entire team.” Since then, SPALECK and its entire workforce have been supporting the children’s home with regular donations in kind and money.
Incidentally, SPALECK customers and partners will see the Recycling Technology Award 2017 on their next visit to the SPALECK TestCenter, where it will be given a place of honor.
