“The opportunities for a company to improve its products based on nature’s example are enormous,” says Professor Tobias Seidl from the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences (WHS) is convinced. Seidl teaches and researches at the Bocholt campus and is committed to harnessing this development potential with the help of a workshop for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Bionics for my company? Workshop shows how it works
“At the beginning of November, we are organizing the 2nd Bocholt Bionics Workshop with an interesting, practice-oriented mix of lectures and application examples. Innovative and idea-generating, the event is aimed at developers, innovation managers and designers – especially from small and medium-sized companies! However, managing directors, researchers, students and professors are also cordially invited to find out more about the possible applications of bionics. At the same time, participation is ideal for exchanging ideas with experts and users and making contacts,” Seidl continues.
Participation free of charge thanks to support – online registration
The bionics workshop is supported by the Otto Spaleck Foundation from Bocholt. Frank Spaleck, member of the foundation’s board: “For our foundation, promoting innovative technologies such as bionics is a matter close to our hearts. That is why we have decided to enable all interested parties to take part in the 2nd Bocholt Bionics Workshop free of charge.”

Spaleck: “We are looking forward to an interesting and lively exchange with bionics experts and the (regional) Efficiency. See you on November 6 at the WHS in Bocholt!”
